Upcoming Events and Opportunities
GREENING TOGETHER April 15-29, 2023
Local environmental groups and the Mercer County Sustainability Coalition of green teams have planned a number of free events in celebration of Earth Day (April 22) including: 15 different stream clean-ups organized by The Watershed; Clean Communities Clean-Up in Hopewell Township; S.H.R.E.D. Fest for Princeton residents; screening of “The True Cost” (a film about clothing and the impact the industry is having on our world); Trail Jam by Artworks/Trenton Cycling Revolution (a rolling art party on the D&R Canal); Community Green Fair at Morven in Princeton; and a presentation about the history of streams in Lawrence Township by Dennis P. Waters.
The celebration culminates on April 29 [rescheduled] May 20 with a Greening Together event at Lawrence High School offering a Bike Rodeo, Electric Vehicle Meet-up, and more. Dates, times and more information here.
GREEN TEAM EVENTS
The Green Team will be at the following community events:
- May 20, 2023: We will participate in Pennington Day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (rain or shine)
- September 23, 2023: We will participate in the Hopewell Harvest Fair (rain date Sept. 24)

- April 30, 2022: Green Get Together at Lawrence High School, as part of the Mercer County Greening Together celebration of Earth Week (April 23-30).

- September 11, 2021 from 12 to 3 pm: Styrofoam, CDs, DVDs and wine cork collection. New location in Hopewell Township.
- July 23-25, 2021: we had a table at the Hopewell Valley Arts Council’s new event, “The Junkyard: Upcycle Art Exhibition” at Woolsey Park.
- April 26, 2021: Journey to Zero-Waste, part of Greening Together 2021 (Mercer County Sustainability Coalition).
- April 24, 2021: Hopewell Valley Green Week “Live Green” Kits and Games.
- February 6, 2021: Styrofoam, CDs, DVDs and wine cork collection.
- September 12, 2020 from 12 to 3 pm: Styrofoam, CDs, DVDs and wine cork collection.
- May 16, 2020 from 10 am to 4 pm: Virtual Pennington Day.
